Our Instructors are Black Belts with Great Histories and Training

Shayne Simpson began his training as a 4 year old boy in 1969 from his uncles. In 1986 Shayne Simpson began his more formal training in Kenpo Karate, Shayne has trained under Kenpo Instructors, Allen Mead, Tony Horten, Bobby Lawrence, & Skip Hancock who Shayne has training with since 1993. Shayne has also trained in Pilipino Escrima (Stick Fighting), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 1994, & Thai Kickboxing. Shayne Currently holds a 3rd degree blackbelt.

J.T. Taylor began his martial arts training in 1969 and earned his Black Belt - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, "Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu", under Mr. Del Esposti. Upon Mr. Esposti's retirement he took over the school until he started his law enforcement career in 1979.

He became a student and instructor with the Zen Budokai Judo/Ju-Jitsu School of San Francisco under Professor Tim Delgman. He also began training under Ceasar and Ralph Gracie. Following a move to Sacremento, Ca, He continued his Brazillian ju-jitsu training under David Terry (Rickson Gracie black belt) as well as world champion Cassio Werneck. During his employment with the California Department of Justice (DOJ) He had the opportunity to develop and manage the DOJ Special Agent Defensive Tactics Program.

He currently hold the following ranks:
  • Brown Belt- Brazilian Jujitsu
  • Black Belt-Judo (Shodan/1st degree)
  • Black Belt- Zen Budokai Aki Jujitsu (Yodan/4th degree)
J Greig Has been studying the Martial Arts since he was a young boy, Kajukenbo, Kenpo, Tia Kown Do, Japanese Sword, Kickboxing, Grappling (lockflow) & MMA. J has a perfect record in the ring!

Greg Moench has been studying Kenpo, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Since 2003. Greg has been teaching Martial Arts Fitness for over 5 years and can put you through one of the best MMA workouts you will ever have! Greg Receives his Black Belt in Sept 2010.

Evan Binkley has been pursuing his passion for martial arts since he was fifteen. He began studying Taekwondo and Hapkido jointly under Korean Grandmaster Jong Hak Yi in Ventura California. He earned a black belt in both styles before he went to college at the University of California Santa Barbara where he was Co-President of the University's Martial Arts Academy. After two years as the academy's president Evan was hired by Macerich Co. Security. During his tenure as a security officer he trained with a number of security consultants including Larry Salit of the Inglewood Police Department. Since he has moved to Washington in 2006 he has studied Hung Gar Gung Fu, Escrima, and Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu. Evan is currently studying Kenpo Karate as a student of Skip Hancock's Kenpo 2000 from Shayne Simpson at the Pacific Northwest Karate Center.

"Restless" Tony Garcia started his Martial Arts Career in 1981 (at the age of 8) His first Disciplines were Kempo(Go-Ju) and Aikedo, and over the next 14 years he studied Shurin-Ryu, Boxing, Free Style Wresting and Tae Kwon Do, before finding Muay Thai KickBoxing in 1995.
