Shayne Simpson began his training as a 4 year old boy in 1969 from his uncles. In 1986 Shayne Simpson began his more formal training in Kenpo Karate, Shayne has trained under Kenpo Instructors, Allen Mead, Tony Horton, Bobby Lawrence, & Skip Hancock who Shayne has training with since 1993. Shayne has also trained in Philippines Escrima (Stick Fighting), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 1994, & Thai Kickboxing. Shayne Currently holds a 4th degree Black Belt. J.T. John “JT” Taylor began his martial arts training in California in 1969 and he earned my black belt in judo and Zen Budokai Aki Ju-jitsu under Mr. Del Esposti. Upon Mr. Esposti’s retirement I took over the school (Marin School of Self Defense) until he started my law enforcement career in 1979.
J.T. became a student and instructor with the Zen Budokai Judo/Ju-Jitsu School of San Francisco under Professor Tim Delgman. J.T. also began training in Gracie Jiu-jitsu under Ceasar and Ralph Gracie. Following a move to Sacramento, Ca, he continued his Brazilian jiu-jitsu training under David Terry (Rickson Gracie black belt) as well as world champion Cassio Werneck. During his employment with the California Department of Justice (DOJ) he had the opportunity to develop and manage the DOJ Special Agent Defensive Tactics Program.
J.T. moved to the state of Washington in 2004. J.T. continued his Gracie Jiu-jitsu training under Tim Shears who heads Gracie Barra B.C. in Vancouver, Canada. During 2008 J.T. was awarded his black belt in Gracie Barra Jiu-jitsu by the renowned Carlos Gracie Jr, head of the Gracie Barra organization. J.T. was also recently promoted to godan (5th degree) by Tim Delgman, head of the Zen Budokai Aki Ju-jitsu system.
J.T now teaches jiu-jitsu at Shayne Martial Arts & Fitness in Bellingham, WA. and for the P.E.H. R. department of Western Washington University. Kitti ’Bom’ Iemnak is from Udonthanee, Thailand and grew up in the tradition of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Training Under Subin Piaryura in the art of Muay Thai at the Sports College in his city, 'Bom' Started Fighting in the art of Muay Thai at age 8, by the time he was 12 years old he was fighting up to 3 times a month, ‘Bom’ has between 70 to 100 (exact number unknown) Muay Thai Fights under his belt, including a National Gold Medal and 10 Collegiate Gold Medals, plus numerous other awards. ‘Bom’ is an excellent instructor! Yancey ‘The Yetti’ Bagby Yancey holds a Black Belt in Rock Solid MMA, Yancey has twice held the Ax Fighting Light Heavy Weight Title Belt. Yancey holds an undefeated record in the ring. Yancey travels and trains with some of the top fighters and gyms in the world. And has completed numerous MMA Teaching courses. Yancey is a great instructor and loves teaching MMA.
